Hey! I'm Katy, a UK-based, freelance fantasy character artist and art-admirer.I love inventing and illustrating characters with infectious moods. I find a lot of beauty in the smaller details of expressions, body language and fabrics that all build into an overall flow of movement and feeling. I’m deeply inspired by folklore, nature, and both historic and pagan symbolism, which lend themselves wonderfully to the fantasy genre.Besides drawing, you can also catch me bouldering, at the cinema, chilling at yoga, gaming and reading folklore. I'm also currently learning Norwegian and Irish(...and playing a lot of D&D)My freelance career began in 2020, when I started taking online character art commissions. In early 2023, I took on my first commercial project as a character illustrator for TTRPGHomebrew's The Gardener's Guide to Gaming. Having loved the experience, I picked up a project in 2024, illustrating album covers for fantasy library music, which are currently in progress.I am presently applying for careers in the Games industry and am also open to new commercial commission opportunities!I graduated Sheffield Hallam University with a First in (BA Hons) Games Design, specialising in 3D character modelling, 2D concept art and life drawing. My software knowledge includes:- Adobe Photoshop
- Clip Studio Paint
- 3DS Max
- ZBrush
- Substance Designer
- Substance Painter
- Unreal Engine
